LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ind. — A Lawrence County woman is facing a felony narcotics charge after calling 911 to report her dealer for providing an inferior batch of methamphetamine earlier this year.

According to court documents, Sarah Harris, 34, called police from “open line” calls to “turn the person in” who had supplied her with tainted methamphetamine that she complained made her feel like she was going to have a heart attack.

These calls prompted an officer to pay a visit to a residence in Bedford to “ensure that everyone was ok.”

Harris reportedly went on to request that the substances be tested and indicated that she wanted to file charges against the individual who sold her the narcotics, court documents said.

The woman reportedly told responding officers that she and a friend had enjoyed a “normal bowl” of meth earlier this year on Jan. 10.

Harris explained to officers that she felt as if she was going to have a heart attack after allegedly ingesting more methamphetamine she had acquired later that same night, court documents said.

She went on to state that she reportedly felt dizzy and was going to experience hallucinations after using the new batch of narcotics she had allegedly purchased, court documents stated.

The woman went on to reportedly hand a small baggie containing a crystal-like substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to court documents.

Harris was subsequently arrested and brought to the Lawrence County Jail where she was preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine, which is a level 6 felony.
